A place for everyone to connect with God and others. Imagine that!

The church is the people, and we‘ve gathered together since 2007 – originally as Cornerstone Baptist Church, now with the new name Crossroads Baptist Church. Our church building is centrally located in Stratford, PEI, whose town motto “Imagine That!” is one we’ve connected to Ephesians 3:20-21 and a greater vision of what God is doing in our neighbourhood. We are right at the center of the town’s major development plans that are in the works. The church is thriving too, growing from 75 people in attendance seven years ago to a current weekly attendance around 200 people between two Sunday morning services.

Our signs say “Everyone is Welcome!” and we mean it. The town of Stratford has a wide range of nationalities within it, and our congregation itself has about 16 different nationalities represented by our attenders. This diversity is an intentional and beautiful part of who we are. The people in our congregation come from a wide range of backgrounds, religiously and otherwise. For many of us, this church has been a place where God has taken disconnected people, each with our broken stories, and put us together.

We have a vision for men and women serving in equal partnership, as well as people of different ages and backgrounds worshiping in one voice and bearing witness to the real-life Good News of Jesus.

The church has a contemporary style and fresh approach to ministry, as well as a healthy respect for the past. We are preparing to enter a future full of promise in a new phase of ministry, with a new name, new organizational structure, and new leadership, but with the same desire to see God do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”!

We’re in the neighbourhood, for the neighbourhood

Perhaps you’ve come to the annual “Neighbourhood Party” we host – everyone is welcome! It’s our desire to know our neighbours and support the needs around us as we can. We believe that’s part of what it means to walk in the way of Jesus. For example, we’ve partnered with schools to support food security for hungry kids through Kits of Kindness, visit seniors in area care homes, and support community programs and initiatives.

Connected for greater impact

Locally we cooperate with many other like-minded churches and community organizations in Stratford and the greater Charlottetown area.
